5 mai My Wedding - April 2004On 8th of Aplil I got married with ... my wife. Actually We did it second time .... this time in the Church in God's presence ...
Enjoy our pictures from that great event. 4 mars Izmir- TurkeyHi Everybody,
My last travel was Izmir in Turkey . Unfortuantely I visited that beautiful City only by night and from hotel window. But even by night was really nice.
All pictures were taken on my last day in Izmir during a short walk.
One of these picture comes from hotel room after laundry service. To my surprise all my underwear were brought in the wicker basket ... uttery like eggs on Easter Time
8 juillet Independace dayHi Everybody,
Finally my best friend came to me. For whose who doesn't know ....my best friend=wife. She arrived but trip for her was horrible. Our super dupper polish airlines again failed. Basicly her luggage was left in Poland and for 4
days she was without her stuff. But anyway she was very happy because she put the rule in the practice : one
day , one dress. Unfortunately I had to buy her something in order in that rule. I got missed her very much and
was waiting for her long time. At last we met. Long time before I had tried to imagine out meeting. You would like
to say something more and you can't. Our eyes were filled up tears.....tears of happines. We've been greeting for
long time ... I love her very much ... and nothing can express it. There is reciprocated love.
So something about our trips. I was prepared very well for her staying here. I know what we'll be doing every weekend. And so on ... first weekend we went to Boston. For me the most beautiful city in the US so far. I
wanted her to see and feel the same like me when I was there 4 month ago. Two days in Boston .... were
wonderful.... walking entire day in downtown till the midnight and more ...testing weird dishes like fresh oysters
... shopping gifts ...and simply wandering at streets which smelled history and real old town from prohibition
times. Second day we devoted to visit and see one of the most famous university of Harvard. I must admit I didn't
know about it before. Little town in the suburbs of Boston. It was fabulous. We felt there us like being in Harry
Potter novel. See attached our picture ..exspecially please note the book store.
During weekdays my wife is readnig and goes to swimming pool. After my coming back to aparatment we have a good time with being each other ... sometimes we go to some restaurant. Our the last favorite dish is sushi and
sushimi..... delicious and luxury japanese food.
I decided to go on 4th July first to Nashville by plane and after that from Nashville to St Louis by car. As I said that I did. At the begining we flew to the Nashville ... you know country music city thought two airports : Detroit
and Nashville. Having arrived to Nashville we rented a car with navi system.... I must admit that there is very easy
to be lost if don't have this one.... expecially in big cities. Anyway ... first we went to downtown in order to eat
something and by the way we visited veryyyy special place in the City ... Parthenon. It was a big replica of real
Parthenon from Greece. From the first view it looked no bad ... closer ...wasn't bad ..we are getting in and
directing our steps towards big mysterious hall. It exceeded our all expetctation. There was 15 meters tall
she-giant covered by gold with deep blue eyes which were dull looked at something. She holded sun shield and
at the foot of her there was obviously a big sanke... didn't metter what was kind ... the important thing .. it was
fat and gold. Basicly ...trash. We are looking at her again. Through the hall crossed a murmur of admiration. It
turned out she was Atena. We were realy disappointed
that. After that we were loughing at this one long long time. At the night we set out to Broadway street - the
famousts street in Nashville. There were many pubs with real live music ... not only in pubs but at streets as
well. I was nice to listen to contry music and walk from pub to pub and danced . Meanwhile we bought there
some gifts. Yeah ....my wife likes shopping very much ...she felt there like fish in the water.
Next day we went to St Louis. Our first destination was amazing Anhauser-Busch Brewery-Budweiser.....old german fashioned , really luxury brewery and excelent maintained. It has been working for 150 years. We took a
tour in Budweiser Brewery. We are visiting etire brewery ... including a beautiful stable. They breed horses there
of special kind : clydesdale. You can see them in my webside. They always take part in big holidays and
solemn parades. All buldings look beautiful ... made of red bricks. You can feel there like your being in Europe.
At the end of the tour we were invited to a small beer party with testing. Everything for free ... both the tour and
beer ...but in gift shop we spent 60$ ... yes I know ..it isn't funny ....
That day we went to the one of the well-known dico pub in St. Louis and we had good time there. So what can I say .... Disco was total different and strange experience for european citizens. Mix-nation people are dancing ..in
specific way .... Have you ever watched 'Dirty Dancing' movie? If yes ..now you know what I mean. We enjoyed
till 1 am of next day. And finnaly got come 4th July. For that day we had planed visiting Arch Gateway ,
Art-Museum and obviously ...fireworks on which we liked forward to seeing them. That was most important point
of the day. I will not describe Arch Gateway and Art-Museum because I did it first time. maybe I remember you
that Arch Gateway is a symbol of devision for west and east America..... simply a gate between west and east.
Because of 4th July we took part in that holiday paying some donate , eating grilled stuff like polish sausages (made in the US - horrible) , drinking beer , enjoying and wainting for nightly performance of fireworks. Finally we
got it. It was worth to wait for because that was really american performance. I could describe something but I
know that it wouldn't be that I we felt. ... basicly dificult to write. You would have to be there to live up the same
like us. Everything is on our pictures. I realize that these pictures are not able to give you real world but ...there's
poor substitute for it.
In returnig trip we took some pictures of clouds directily from the plane. We reached our american home at 23:00 on 5th July.

Marek 1 juin Today's curly thoughtsNothing is for free .... 31 mai Panama City and Girls8th May'05 Hi everybody, I'm currently in Panama City in Florida. At last I landed in my field assignment. And so I got very good place. . For holiday ..not to work. during the day is 30 - 34C of ambient and 27C of water ...clear sky ..light breeze ... one of the beautiful beach on south coast in the US.... Today I've been to this beach ...was great ....but I didn't watch out on my skin ... unfortunately ... I'm totally burned ..and I think I'll be suffer from that beacause of too long laying on the beach without any protection (simply- sunny hardcore) .... but what can I say ... It was my fault ... Everybody warned me up before leaving for the beach about strong sun .... I said mayself :don't worry ...I got used to sunbathing .... I was wrong ... Following the Akira's advise (my japanese friend) next week I'm going to Cape Canaveral ... to see NASA facilities and obviusly ... the beach ... and girls ... only to see ...not to touch ... :-) .... For them who thinks that there are beautiful gilrs on the beach I attached some pics ... Cheers, Marek Boston and Springfield - for Deva StaffHello Everybody, Yesterday(20-02-2005) I returned from full succeful travel to Springfied and Boston. I send you some pictures from Boston. Because my roommate have been linving for 5 years in th US in Springfield, we didn't have any problems with an orientation in this city.Simply He felt there like fish in water. There I found out how american men spend their spare time and money. Darek and Piotrek I wish You had been here. That "special club" total differs from european ones. :-). I was surprised that pub was full not only men but women as well. Next day we went to Boston. Breakfast we ate obviously in McDonald.:-). So ...Boston ..what can I say ... Beautiful... Real American City made of red bricks. I had tears in my eyes ... I couldn't believe in it that I was there. When you watch TV and see pictures and snaps from american cities you treat it like something normal and rather unattainable. You think never to be there. You refuse thinking about being there and agree with it. It's amazing feeling. Here you realize that this is city of one of the most universities on the world, namely : Harvard University and MIT - the Massachusets Institute of Technology. We visited only downtown. Probably we'll return there in summer time and see much more. That's all ... Best Regards, Marek Nashville and St. Louis - for Deva StaffHi Everybody, I think you are now very busy ... just before start up of the unit - I mean : party , party and party :-) But maybe you'll be have a little bit time to read my email. Currently I'm now in Princeton in my first fiels assignment. Don't look for it on the map !! This is very tiny city and deep hole in Indiana State close to Evansville and Indianapolis. There is nothing to see ... only a big Power Plant. This is third the biggest steam Power Station in the US. For your information : total load : over 3000MW - five units per almost 700MW. I must admit there're huge units. I've never seen these one. But construction and technology comes from 40 years ago. It is amazing that in the US there are these old units. Honestly in ALSTOM we put in the practice HiTech. I know now you're laughing at me ....but it's true. In fossil units they are delayed in compare to us (Europe). I tried to get know their technology. I'm nervous a little bit because of american units. I've got unit convrter but first time when you meet for instance :1 mils ... it's difficult to imagine how much it is. Now I know that 1 mils=0.0025mm. You can get used to it. Now I can calculate and convert in my mind Farenheit - Celsius , bar - psi , mile - km , mil - mm. But you can ask me : what I am doing during weekend. My answer : traveling and seeing with my turkish friend from my class Erdem. Lately we've been to Nashville and St. Louis. So ... What can I say .... That was great .... I'll begin from trip to Nashville. We were in Nashville last Saturday. We begun our trip fairly late because of Erdem's nightshift. Thus we got Nashville at about 6 PM. First look at the city was beautiful. But in my surpprise there weren't people on the streets. Basicly it seemd to be a ghost city. I must admit I was disappointed. But so .. I thought : thouh luck ... we look overview something and drive on the streets and come back to Princeton. We went to residency area. Houses and building seemed to be like from fairy tale. At 8PM we got hungry a little bit and started searching some restaurant. And in our surpprise the streets were got full of people. Music played and sounds in the pubs and on the streets. It was got fine music country climate. We went from pub to pub and drunk some beers. At midnight there were much more people than before two hours. We came into some gift shops which were opened whole night. We enjoyed in Nashville very well. Only I wish my wife would see that beautyful city. You know it's far away from "our american home in NY" Clifton Park. I send you some picture from Nashville. St. Louis... Really it was worth seeing ... We were in St. Louis last weekend. Before leaving we booked for us hotel in small city (roughly 10 miles to St. Louis ). Exciting place ... maybe it recalled me Boston. There were many atractions and entertainment. Clean and nice buildings. We visited in first day Gateway Arch which symbolized door to west America , downtown during day and night - pubs and music on the streets, we were in some disco pub there. It was great. In second day we visited Anheuser-Bush Brewery. I found out that Budweiser comes from America not from Europe. Imigrant from Germany Adolphus Busch who purchased Bavarian Brewery in 1869 made a name for "Budweiser". In St. Louis there is the biggest Brewerey of AB in the US. After that we went to Art Museum under Gateway Arch. So .... The museum was beautiful. It was exihibition about history of North America with real magnitude figures who talked to you about history of the US and all exporers. For me it was great ... every datail was seen. Nice for eyes. But truly that's history about how Americans fought and killed Indians in humane way. Beautyful, isn't it ? It's amasing how Americans could make from the genocide , their success. That's it. Two days it was too short time to see everything. But maybe next time ... That the same day we came back to Princeton ... via Evansville .... :-) and we visited local casino ... Please find enclosed pictures from St. Louis and Evansville. and what are you doing now ... are you really preparing to start up? Cheers, Marek Kenedy Space CenterHi Everybody, For them who doesn't know where I am .... currently I'm in Eden of the Earth .... it means : Panama Beach City on Florida State. What can I say..... sunny , breeze and one of the most beautiful beaches on southern coast of the US. A some week ago I decided to go to visit and see a couple of spacecrafts ;-) Last weekend I was in Cape Canaveral. You know ... there is Kennedy Space Center - NASA facilietes. There are launch stations for spacecrfts. So that was great experience ..... Honestly it was my dream which was fulfilled. If in Boston I had tears in my eyes ...but in NASA tears were spilled on the floor. Simply I moved myself. I was so happy because of my being there ... I cannot express it ... but you can imagine what is happening when your dreams are fulfilling ..... so finish with my fillings. By the way I had good time in KSC. I bought full ticket which included all atraction. First I went by bus to some facilietes and I could see some launch spots for spacecrafts. And then I could visit many facilities like museum of space technology , presentations , theatres , 3D cinemas and meetings with real astronauts ... this week were astronauts from Apollo VIII. I had chance to survive the launch of Apollo VIII again fromcontrol room. Everything were shown and exhibit like a real launch of spacecraft in special prepared control room from that days. That was incredible .... I could feel like remains of launching spacecraft were droping and hitting on the facility of control room ... What can I say .... I wish you had feld what I had. You can only envy me that amazing experience. I must admit I spent a lot of money for gifts. But I didn't regret it. You know If you are in special and interesting ..... and poor to reach ...places ... you're do everything the best to keep your mind forever. And you buy, buy , buy and buy ...and at the end of the day you realize that your walet is empty. KSC is not only NASA ...but big deal ... because of gift shop and other attractions. So by the way .... I was in Kennedy Space Center more than four hours ... and afterwards I went to my hotel place of nice sounded name Cocoa Beach. Next day I devoted to come back to Panama City. .... only 7 hours to go ... :-) ... but never mind ... That was really worth ... I'm still full of impressions. Best regards, Marek |
